GENNO Privacy Policy

Versione 2026-10 · in vigore dal 12/10/2026

1. Our commitment to privacy and the LGPD

GENNO complies with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018 — LGPD), handling the information of customers and partners with transparency, confidentiality and security.

2. Data we collect

We collect only the data needed to provide the service and operate the platform:

  • User registration data: name, e-mail, phone/WhatsApp, professional license, tax ID and address.
  • Financial data: billing information processed by Stripe, a certified payment provider (PCI-DSS). GENNO keeps only the card brand and last digits, the chosen payment method, the invoices and the receipts; the full card number stays with Stripe only.
  • Clinical and herd data: medical records, pedigrees, exams, breedings and reproductive biotechnology, owned by the customer.
  • Data on animal owners entered by the customer (name, contact and ID), processed on the customer's behalf.
  • Access logs: date, time, IP address, device, operating system and browser (or app version), where the access came from (web, app or back office) and the property open at each use, kept for 12 (twelve) months. The organization administrator sees the accesses of their own team in the access report.

3. Purposes of processing

  • Provide and operate the software and app features.
  • Authenticate access securely and keep the history synchronized in the cloud.
  • Provide support and send essential notices about the account, the subscription and the system.
  • Issue invoices and comply with tax and regulatory obligations.

4. Greeting messages

For greeting messages we use the person's name, date of birth, e-mail and phone and, on an animal's birthday, the animal's name. For an organization's customers, the legal basis is the consent given to the organization for each channel; for people who use GENNO, e-mail relies on the legitimate interest of the customer relationship (with an unsubscribe link in every e-mail), and SMS and WhatsApp require consent.

Messages are sent through providers hired by GENNO: Postmark (e-mail), Twilio (SMS) and Meta (WhatsApp), which may process data outside Brazil under the contractual safeguards required by law.

  • We keep a record of each consent (who, when, how and the text accepted) and of each message sent, for accountability.
  • Unsubscribing takes effect immediately: through the e-mail link, by replying "STOP" to the SMS or WhatsApp, or in the owner portal.
  • Addresses that bounce or mark the message as spam stop receiving them.

5. Storage and security

We use encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption at rest in our cloud databases. The app's local database stays on the user's device.

6. Data sharing

GENNO does not sell personal data or clinical records. Data is shared only with essential infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, e-mail and notification delivery, payment processing and monitoring), under confidentiality agreements. Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Brasil Soluções de Pagamento Ltda. and Stripe, Inc.), which receives the data needed for billing — name, e-mail, tax ID, address and payment method details — and may process them outside Brazil, with the contractual safeguards of the LGPD.

7. How long we keep data

Data is kept while the subscription is active. After cancellation, once the paid period ends, it is kept for another 30 (thirty) days, only for export or reactivation, and then permanently deleted.

After that we keep only what the law requires: access logs for 12 (twelve) months (never less than the 6 months of art. 15 of Law No. 12,965/2014) (Brazilian Law No. 12,965/2014, art. 15), billing and tax data for 5 (five) years and the record of acceptance of the Terms (LGPD, art. 16).

8. Data subject rights (LGPD, art. 18)

Data subjects may, at any time:

  • Confirm that their data is processed and access it.
  • Correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data.
  • Request portability: the organization's administrator exports all data under "Export my data".
  • Request deletion of the data, including before the end of the retention period, except where the law requires us to keep it.
  • Withdraw consents previously given.

9. Data protection officer (DPO) and contact
